Jaffna is the capital city of Northern Province of Sri Lanka and located on Jaffna peninsula.
Since the end of the war in 2009 refugees and internally dispatched people returned to the home, while government and private sector reconstruction started.
The majority of the city populations are Tamils and Moors. So, a lot of Hindu temple has in this area. Nallur Hindu temple is the famous temple in Hindu people. This temple is situated in close to Jaffna city. Also, the city is one of the very famous tourist destinations in Sri Lanka.
The average temperature is 32c and dry season is February to August and wet season is September to January.
