Polonnaruwa remains as the ancient royal city of the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa and district in North-Central Province.  It’s was the second capital of Sri Lanka after the destruction of Anuradhapura in 993 B.C. Listed as one of World heritage site by the UNESCO and the er Cultural site. It comprises, besides the Brahmanic monuments built by the Cholas, the monumental ruins of the fabulous garden-city. The weather here is tropical & average temperature is about 27 degrees Celsius.
